Everyone has a different idea of what therapy looks like. My approach to therapy is to offer guidance and support in a safe, nonjudgmental space. The most important part of therapy to me is trust, mutual respect, and connection. I am here to help guide you through whatever life stressor you are facing, which involves open discussions, offering suggestions, implementing strategies and improving your ability to cope.

During our first session, my goal is to build rapport and trust with you. This is done through casual conversation that involves question-asking and using assessment tools. I also will orient you to the therapy process, which includes identifying expectations that you have and that I may have, as well as covering general practice policies.

I am here to help guide you through whatever life stressor you are facing, at a pace that makes sense to you. There is no prescribed amount of time that therapy takes place. It’s an individual process, whereby we work together to evaluate, in regards to your goals being met or ability to maintain symptoms and/or strategies.

I do offer telemental health, however, I really enjoy and value being in-person with my clients. I feel the face-to-face connection can be very powerful and beneficial to the therapeutic process. 

Having peer support is extremely impactful when going through life changes, such as divorce or grief. It can feel very comforting to have individuals around you that have similar experiences. Group sessions are intended to build community while offering a structured, meaningful activity each session.
